I have a website, after a year it gets about 1 hit a day from everywhere. I dont have alot of content but keep adding it. How can I make more people come to the site? I have listed in some of the main search engines like yahoo and google and in about 50 directories… Any tips you can share would be great.
If I had to give you only one suggestion on the best way to do SEO, it would be this:
- Make your content link-worthy. Visit Digg, Reddit, StumbleUpon… See why other sites are being linked to and create content that is high in quality for whatever reason.
That is more important than submitting to all the directories in the world . And don’t use Flash.

I would like know too. We’re launching a kids social network site, I’ve posted at the various free online advertising and website search engines, but don’t know if they really work or just send spam.
In the past, I have used SEO systems that guarantee hits to your site and my page manager said the hits came, but it did not convert into users.
I liked the answer for connecting a message at the end of answers, but I don’t know how accepting the sites are of those practices. Great idea.

Get inbound link to you’re website since its an important role in SEO. Also content is important update you’re content on a timely basis.
